![]() ![]() ![]() There is a standout moment where I was standing at the bar with one of the (previous) owners and I asked him “Is this it? Is this all I am going to do here?” I was looking for growth at L’Opera and for a small restaurant this is not an easy feat. Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way? I loved working for the company throughout college so I thought, why not? L’Opera was close to home, felt like family, had incredible food and an impressive wine list. Once I graduated with my BA in Communication Studies I became a manager and restaurant event planner for Trump’s golf course in Palos Verdes.Ībout six months later I stopped by L’Opera for a drink and was offered an interview for an open management position. I began working at the Madison as a host, bartender and server, all throughout attending CSULB. Terry Antonelli (with a couple of partners) owned L’Opera, The Madison and Alegria. ![]() So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there. Thanks for sharing your story with us Nicole.
